Establish and maintain indoor ambient air between 30% to 60% RH (relative humidity) all year, on all levels within the building envelope.

Selecting a dehumidifier with a programmable humidistat. Set the unit’s humidistat between 30% - 60% RH. In very damp locations, chose a setting closer to 50% to prevent the unit from “freezing up” from continuous operation.
